When you first get the ACT or think about the ACT, it can be extremely intimidating. Not only is it about 4 hours long to take it, but it has a huge impact on your future as far as colleges and scholarships.
For that reason, a lot of people go into the ACT with an extreme case of test anxiety. That, I think, is the biggest reason that a lot of people don't do as well as they otherwise might.
Other things will help improve your ACT test score... you can study your basic English rules. The english section is mostly about knowing where commas go, what colons are, etc. So if you know all of that, you will do well on the English section.
